A father from Bhobhoyi was this week sentenced to 10 years’ imprisonment by the Port Shepstone Regional Court for sexually assaulting his seven-year-old daughter.
The 34-year-old man assaulted the little girl after he was left alone with his three children when he and their mother became involved in an argument last Sunday.
The siblings were found sleeping on the floor and the victim was not wearing any underwear. The mother immediately suspected that something was wrong and reported the case to the local police,” said police spokesman, Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid.
Officers from Port Shepstone Community Service Centre (CSC) went to the man’s house and arrested him.
