ON an unscheduled walk-about, Greenwood Park SAPS officers shut down an illegal shebeen. In its effort to reduse crime in the area, SAPS Greenwood Park station decided to take a walk through Briardene Informal Settlement on Friday, 24 March.
Officers noticed a man drinking alcohol in public, while on their patrol. Police questioned the owner of the shebeen the man bought the liquor from, and they discovered the proprietor was not a licensed dealer.
