A pedestrian is in a critical condition after she was knocked down on the side of the road when two cars collided on the R603 near Winkelspruit south of Durban on Saturday afternoon.
Rescue Care paramedics responded to the call for urgent assistance shortly after 1.30pm.
The pedestrian was found in a critical condition and Rescue Care’s advanced life support placed the patient on a manual ventilator on the scene. She was in in a critical condition and rushed through to a nearby hospital for further care. Three occupants from the vehicles had sustained minor to serious injuries and were also stabilised on the scene before being transported to hospital for further care.
