ALERT Detective Warrant Officer Jeeva Govender of the Umzinto SAPS Detective Service recently noticed a gold Toyota Corolla causing a stir before taking off at incredible speed.
He gave chase.
Having reached the N2 northbound off-ramp at Umkomaas in the nick of time, they spotted the Corolla, still travelling at high speed. With blue light flashing and sirens blaring, they gave chase.
The Corolla was successfully intercepted near the Magabeni off-ramp moments later.
Three women and a man – the driver – were arrested after goods found in their vehicle tied them to unsolved shoplifting cases in Umzinto.
