Rescue services had to extricate the woman from the vehicle using specialised tools.
WOMAN was critically injured in a collision between a truck and a light motor vehicle on the N2 southbound near Umgababa earlier this morning.
The vehicle veered off the road and came to a standstill at the bottom of an embankment.
ER24 paramedics found the woman trapped inside the vehicle. “She was in a critical condition,” said ER24 spokesman, Russel Meiring.
Further investigations are underway.
